The January / February 2018 issue has been published and includes features on Unst, Mingulay and the Isle of Noss. Accommodation on Great Cumbrae is recommended and Herm comes into its own for Scottish connections. The Centrepiece focuses the Photography of Karen Thorburn. Doctor John Rae of the Arctic makes an apperance as does Thomas Frank McLeod, a Lewisman who ventured to the Antarctic. Castles and Galleys are reviewed, the work of James McEwen of Islay is outlined and Wildlife on Mull is described.
Another 'island-crossword' - the 32nd in the series - compiled by Tom Johnson, whose puzzles appear regularly in the Spectator and Financial Times, is sponsored by The Islands Book Trust.
